At the beginning of 2023, I had the privilege of being 1 of 10 players in JMU’s inaugural production of Movie Musical Magic: A Music Revue! Movie Musical Magic featured songs from various animated and live action children and family films. Some of the songs I performed were “Almost There” from The Princess and the Frog, “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin, and “This is Me” from The Greatest Showman! This production was directed by Kate Lumpkin.

In the fall of 2022 I played the role of “Tom Collins” in Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize winning musical, RENT. The production was a part of the James Madison University School of Theatre and Dance mainstage season and was directed by Kate Lumpkin. RENT is one of my all time favorite musicals and Collins was one of my dream roles. I had the absolute best time working on this iconic show!

In the summer of 2022, I participated in the the Tony Award winning Signature Theatre’s Overtures: Musical Theatre Institute in Arlington, VA! Overtures is a two-week intensive, professional training program designed for college students and recent graduates. I received training in voice, acting, and dance through a combination of classes, private sessions and master classes. The experience culminated with a showcase for the public and DC area casting directors!

I was one of three adult lead vocalists for the Virginia Children’s Theatre’s BRAND NEW DAY Concert, August 2022! BRAND NEW DAY is a celebration of unity that features songs from popular Broadway musicals like Footloose, Waitress, Big Fish, Godspell, Hairspray and more. We will be performing a number of selections with a youth ensemble.

In the fall of 2021, I performed as ”Pythio” in James Madison University’s production of Head Over Heels, directed by Kate Arecchi. This show is a celebration of queerness, gender identity, and inclusivity! I am so grateful to have gotten the chance to be a part of this show and tell such a beautiful story.

In the spring of 2021, I was lucky enough to be a part of the Good Demon Demo Project, which featured music from an original work by one of my best friends and classmates Emmanuel Kikoni. Good Demon is a new musical for BIPOC voices.
